Congratulations to the Swimming and Diving teams for an amazing regional championship!! In the team standings, the girls finished in third place and the boys finished in sixth place. The girls will be sending at least three girls to the state championships and the boys will be going to state for the first time in swimming in three years. In the individual results, Taelor Bilderback led the guys with two second place finishes in the 50 Free and 100 Free, qualifying for state in both events.

For the girls, Kayla Gerhart, Cecilia Fogo and Reagan Hayes all punched their tickets to the state championships. Kayla Gerhart was named Regional Swimmer of the Meet, by winning the 100 Breast and finishing second in the 200 IM (new school record), Cecilia Fogo finished third in the 50 free, but her second place finish in the 100 Free earned a trip to the state championships. Reagan Hayes had two second place finishes in the 100 Fly and 500 Free and qualified her for state in both. Reagan’s 100 Fly time broke a 32 year old school record.
