Well seniors we are almost there.  We have just a few more weeks left until we walk across the stage. First semester is over, done with and we are starting to feel sluggish and are constantly asking the question why try?

For seniors, most are looking forward to the future, and we are not really “present” now, especially when it comes to classes.

“I have been looking forward to graduating high school for a while now I have basically had senioritis since I came out of the womb,” Mariel Deleon said.

Even teachers notice this trend; it doesn’t only effect the student in the classroom but also in extracurricular activities. It can be really difficult to get motivated when you know the end is so near. It gets harder to push yourself to do the best you can as the year goes on.

“I’m starting to feel the want to just lay and nap all day instead of doing my homework, but I’m fighting it and still trying,” Deleon said.

As we move forward to graduation, senioritis is bound to get worse but what seniors need to do is push through it. Try your hardest it will be worth it in the end.
